Inspiration Station

Mapel strives to be more than just another boutique. So much thought and integrity goes behind everything you see online and especially in the store. We also love supporting and helping local artists and designers. For this month’s Inspiration Station we want to take a moment and put the spotlight on Petula by Katie Sweeney.

You’ve walked by her tables, pulled out a sweater from her armoire, perhaps even sat on one of her chairs or benches. Each of these pieces have been reclaimed and upcycled not just for Mapel’s décor, but also for you to enjoy as your very own! The best part is – Katie is just like you – she is a Mapel Lady and we love partnering with her!

Like so many single moms, she wants the best for her four children and for her home. What started out as an affordable way to uniquely decorate her home, quickly turned into a creative outlet to financially support her family! Thus began Petula!

Everything in the store has been discovered at a 2nd hand retailer. With her creative tender-loving-care she recreates each piece into something bright, charming and one of a kind.

Her favorite piece will catch your eye as soon as you come through the door. This chair is the perfect pop of color and character and will brighten any room of the house.

It’s September and we cannot contain our excitement! Time to bust out the new denim!! Did you know that here at Mapel we currently have more than two dozen styles of denim and more are on the way this fall? Why so many you may wonder? At one point or another we have all experienced jeans that just don’t quite seem to fit. Some of you may have given up on denim all together.

It feels like summer just barely arrived.... we've only started to wear our new summer sun'dresses!!! But... believe it or not Mapel's Fall Arrivals have - Arrived!!! Celebrate summer with Mapel Boutique…three weeks in a row

Sugar, Spice, &; Everything Nice…That’s What Mapel’s Made Of!

Join Mapel Boutique on the first three Thursdays in August for our summer shopping celebration, Sugar, Spice, & Everything Nice.

On August 2, 9, and 16, stop by Mapel Boutique at Bridgeport Village between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. for food, wine, local artwork, giveaways, and—of course—plenty of great deals on your favorite Mapel fashions.

At our first event on August 2, we’ll celebrate all things sweet, with white and rosé wines, a great sweets bar, local artist Anna Kodesch, and giveaways from Bridgeport Village’s own MAC Cosmetics, Posh Lingerie, Sweet Factory Candy, and other favorites.

Come back on Thursday, August 9 and spice things up, with red wine, pumpkin spice scones, local artists Ian Reynoso and Brita Hill, and great giveaways from MAC Cosmetics, Peet’s Coffee, Posh Lingerie, and more.

Finally, on Thursday, August 16, delight in everything nice. Mapel will be featuring Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, local artists Aubrey Park and Kat Lawlis, and prizes from Coldwater Creek, The Spa, Posh Lingerie, and others!
