Bridgeport Street of Treats: Join Bridgeport Village & Mapel Boutique for games, prizes, trick-or-treating and dancing with Radio Disney. There will be a costume contest and Mapel Boutique along with participating stores will be handing out candy in a fun and safe environment. Costumed pets are welcome too!

Mapel Boutique is hosting a Focus Group Thursday October 25th and we are looking for 12 of our customers to participate in this group. We will ask you individual and group discussion questions about your general shopping preferences, likes and dislikes and points of inspiration.

Focus Group will be held at Bridgeport Village Thursday October 25th from 7-8.30.

Inspiration Station

Mapel strives to be more than just another boutique. So much thought and integrity goes behind everything you see online and especially in the store. We also love supporting and helping local artists and designers. For this month’s Inspiration Station we want to take a moment and put the spotlight on Petula by Katie Sweeney.

You’ve walked by her tables, pulled out a sweater from her armoire, perhaps even sat on one of her chairs or benches. Each of these pieces have been reclaimed and upcycled not just for Mapel’s décor, but also for you to enjoy as your very own! The best part is – Katie is just like you – she is a Mapel Lady and we love partnering with her!

Like so many single moms, she wants the best for her four children and for her home. What started out as an affordable way to uniquely decorate her home, quickly turned into a creative outlet to financially support her family! Thus began Petula!

Everything in the store has been discovered at a 2nd hand retailer. With her creative tender-loving-care she recreates each piece into something bright, charming and one of a kind.

Her favorite piece will catch your eye as soon as you come through the door. This chair is the perfect pop of color and character and will brighten any room of the house.
